Cats and Sleep Places

Published by highlandlass at 10:38 pm under Cats and tagged:

Why do cats always find the smallest or weirdest places to sleep? Interesting, tho’ that it is the tabbies who appear to be caught in odd places more often, especially Merlin, the white chested one.

Merliln found sleeping in the plant pot 6:30am on 12th November

Malfoy in the newspaper recycling box on a high shelf

Perdi

A typical Merlin sleeping place - anywhere that he is too big for!

Looks cute, but Snitch is very aloof!

The latest venue for Merlin

Merlin lifts the lid to get in and hide

Glove and hat rack. Merlin somehow shifts the wood which is meant to stop him sleeping up there!

Malfoy likes bags

Malfoy also likes small places

I'm stilll not sure how Merl got into this one

Folders are fair game

Warm radiator (admittedly he had help :-))

Malf in another bag

An empty box is fair game

A young Malf

Both tabs on the shelf, not a common sight to see them together like this

Kitchen bin

Malf on Gem

Malf on radiator of his own accord

Merlin - not exactly cosy

Snitch & Merlin in a laundry basket. Snitch isn't too happy about sharing tho'.

I am surprised the cats continue to find the odd places to sleep. They surely must be getting fed up of having a camera (which I usually always have to hand) pointed at them.

Thanks for all the photos. Reminds me of the crew I had years ago! ( Big Smile!) My Siamese, Lucy, would go to sleep on the TV and sometimes she would fall off and she would have the most indignant look on her little face! Like, well, it wasn’t my fault! I sure do miss them. I lost my last one almost 2 years ago and I’m most ready for another crew! Never a dull moment with cats in the house!! Your cats are beautiful!!!

What super photos! They made me LOL. And yet, none of the poses is entirely unfamiliar… You must realise that when a cat has to fit in 18 hours of sleep each day, a selection of sleeping places is essential to avoid boredom. You might think it’s easy but it’s not…

Very nice set of cats and pix! What plastic poses! But if anyone thought cats were smart then these images should dispel such a myth.

i love this! Typing is not easy just now though, as I have cat Liquorice on my knee… Fudge favours a Corridor Of Laptops- formed when two people sit at the dining room table with laptops facing each other. I’m afraid she may start glowing green from the radiation…

LOL. When I was writing a book Malfoy was a kitten, and he kept my wrists warm by laying over them whilst I was typing.

PS. Folks, Sorry for the long scroll… had hope the wee pics would have been in pairs but when I edited the post I somehow lost that. Inserting photos still befuddles me.

Me’n Merlin must be related. I was born in Finstoon, raised in Stromness and now live in Fife. It’s like looking in a mirror. And the two snuggled in the laundry basket could almost me me’n'Marmers (born North Side Birsay, brought up in Str…you get the picture). However, I have never felt the urge to curl up on a bog seat! Each to his own
We seldom tire of having the camera pointed at us. We have no illusions about out innate attractiveness to you bipeds.

I’ll NEVER forget the time I was using your bathroom when Merlin rose up out of your laundry hamper like a cobra!!! I about died on the spot! And then there was the other time I was using your bathroom and one of your cats jumped through the window and onto my lap! I screamed with that one hahaha!

Your loo is a dangerous place for jumpy people like me…
